Stock market update: Nifty IT index 2.45% in a weak market
L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 2.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Infosys Ltd.(down 5.76 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.19 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was 2.45 per cent at 42132.20 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 179.71 points at 23132.1, while the BSE Sensex was 658.38 points at 76384.44.
