Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 1.0% in an upbeat market
Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 4.73 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 2.98 per cent), Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(up 2.82 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 2.77 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(up 2.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.26 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 1.0 per cent at 21004.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 112.21 points at 23069.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 350.45 points at 76251.86.
