Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.03%
Shares of LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.72 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.59 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.33 per cent) and L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.07 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Coforge Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.03 per cent up at 30981.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 5.05 points at 19406.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 16.29 points at 64942.4.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.
Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Lagnam Spintex, Nitco, Texmaco Infra, FCS Software and Creative Peripherals hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Perfect Infraenginee(PP), Godha Cabcon & Insul, Atam Valves, Winsome Yarns and Compuage Infocom hit their fresh 52-week lows.
