Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 1.01%

Shares of Biocon Ltd.(up 4.3 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 3.76 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.79 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent) and J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(down 2.95 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.45 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.01 per cent at 23241.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 168.5 points at 23644.9, while the BSE Sensex stood 450.94 points at 78248.13.
