Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.32%
Shares of Granules India Ltd.(up 2.98 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 1.84 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 1.48 per cent) and Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Dr.
Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) and Pfizer Ltd.(down 0.18 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.32 per cent up at 14882.35.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 97.35 points at 19230.6, while the BSE Sensex stood up 282.88 points at 64363.78.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Zomato, YES Bank and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Hind Rectifiers, Industrial Invst, Tilaknagar Ind, Intense Tech and JP Power hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Avro India, Shree Ram Proteins, Yasho Industries, Aegis Logistics and Winsome Yarns hit their fresh 52-week lows.
