Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.07%
Shares of Granules India Ltd.(up 3.68 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.63 per cent) and Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.14 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.07 per cent up at 23296.55.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 13.95 points at 25796.9, while the BSE Sensex stood down 33.49 points at 84266.29.
