Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.08%

Shares of Granules India Ltd.(up 3.89 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.25 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.98 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.69 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.87 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.08 per cent down at 19528.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 65.91 points at 23501.1, while the BSE Sensex stood down 269.03 points at 77209.9.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 31 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Peria Karamalai Tea, Hester Biosc, Shradha Infraproject, LGB Forge and Thangamayil Jewellery hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Suumaya Lifestyle, SecUR Credentials, Allcargo Logistics, Future Supply Chain and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
