Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.26%
Shares of Gland Pharma(up 4.61 per cent), Natco Pharma(up 2.96 per cent), Sanofi India(up 2.08 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.39 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.1 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 2.28 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(down 1.91 per cent), Lupin(down 1.86 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 1.54 per cent) and Abbott India(down 1.03 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.26 per cent down at 15358.45. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 99.75 points at 19365.25, while the BSE Sensex stood down 388.4 points at 65151.02.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 ended in the green, while 33 closed in the red. Shares of Indian Railway Fin, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
