Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.2%
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.19 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.18 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.16 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, DLF Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.2 per cent up at 651.5.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 181.15 points at 19411.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 594.91 points at 64958.69.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 ended in the green, while 6 closed in the red.
Shares of JP Power, Reliance Power, Zomato, Vodafone Idea and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Chembond Chem, IFGL Refractories, Industrial Invst, Noida Toll Brid and Bajaj Hindusthan Su hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sheetal Cool, Penta Gold, Atam Valves, Compuage Infocom and Anzen India Energy hit their fresh 52-week lows.
