Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.74%

Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.39 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 1.33 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.7 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 0.57 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, DLF Ltd.(down 2.11 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.01 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.45 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.74 per cent down at 1131.9.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 65.91 points at 23501.1, while the BSE Sensex stood down 269.03 points at 77209.9.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 31 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Peria Karamalai Tea, Hester Biosc, Shradha Infraproject, LGB Forge and Thangamayil Jewellery hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Suumaya Lifestyle, SecUR Credentials, Allcargo Logistics, Future Supply Chain and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
