Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.22% in a weak market
Phoenix Mills(up 0.4 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(up 0.19 per cent) were among the top gainers. Brigade Enterprises(down 3.13 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 2.55 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 2.5 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.39 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.83 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 1.22 per cent at 534.75 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 91.15 points at 19479.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 338.56 points at 65507.94.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red. Shares of Suzlon Energy, Indian Railway Fin, Reliance Power, Bank of Maharashtra and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
