Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

Karma Energy(up 4.93%), DPSC(up 4.72%), NTPC(up 4.49%), NLC India(up 3.67%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 3.27%), JSW Energy(up 3.12%), Voltamp Transformers(up 2.22%), GE Power India Limited(up 1.99%), Tata Power Company(up 1.80%) and NHPC(up 1.73%) were among the top gainers.
Orient Green Power Company(down 4.78%), Power & Instrumentation(Gujarat)(down 3.85%), Adani Energy Solutions(down 1.87%), ADANIGREEN(down 1.73%), RTNPOWER(down 1.45%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 0.96%), Inox Wind Energy(down 0.76%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.37%), Indowind Energy(down 0.37%) and Adani Power(down 0.24%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 63.75 points up at 19587.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 166.08 points at 65674.4 at around 10:50AM.

Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.92%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.82%), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.23%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.18%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.13%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.05%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.98%), UPL Ltd.(up 1.95%) and Coal India Ltd.(up 1.46%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.21%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.63%), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.35%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.95%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.65%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.43%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.42%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.37%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.37%) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.35%) were trading in the red.
