Reliance Power Ltd.(up 5.00%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(up 4.94%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd.(up 4.08%), Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(up 3.14%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd.(up 2.87%), JSW Energy Ltd.(up 2.62%), Voltamp Transformers Ltd.(up 1.85%), KPI Green Energy Ltd.(up 1.41%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd.(up 1.35%) and PTC India Ltd.(up 1.24%) stood among the top gainers.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 36.6 points at 24435.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 138.74 points at 80081.98.
