Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 83.96 points up at 25235.9 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Globale Tessile, Saraswati Saree Depo, Revathi Equipment and Divgi Torqtransfer, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 37 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 13 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Cipla, Bajaj Finance, M&M, Divis Labs and Bajaj Finserv were among top gainers during the day, while Tata Motors, RIL, Tech Mahindra, ITC and Coal India Ltd ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 231.16 points up at 82365.77.
Traders piled up positions in Beverages — Alcoholic, Sugar, Telecommunications, General and Aquaculture sectors, while selling was witnessed in Irrigation & Allied Services, Infrastructure, Rubber, Electric/Electronics and Gas & Petroleum sectors during the day.
