Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(up 10.25%), Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd.(up 6.87%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(up 6.63%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 5.00%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd.(up 4.71%), Mawana Sugars Ltd.(up 4.62%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(up 4.62%), Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd.(up 4.38%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 4.32%) and Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(up 4.06%) stood among the top gainers.

Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd.(down 4.03%) and Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd.(down 0.42%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 37.1 points down at 26178.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 264.27 points at 85571.85.
