Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market falls
DCM Shriram Industries(up 3.42%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 1.25%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(up 0.98%), BAJAJHIND(up 0.93%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 0.87%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(up 0.56%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 0.54%), Rana Sugars(up 0.43%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 0.31%) and Balrampur Chini Mills(up 0.26%) were among the top gainers. Uttam Sugar Mills(down 1.18%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 1.04%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 0.95%), EID Parry(down 0.76%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(down 0.59%), AVADHSUGAR(down 0.59%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 0.33%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 0.21%) and K.M.Sugar Mills(down 0.19%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 18.7 points down at 19735.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 45.63 points at 66482.04 at around 11:20AM. Coal India(up 3.51%), NTPC(up 3.11%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.02%), Eicher Motors(up 1.71%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.68%), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 1.09%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.85%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.82%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.73%) and Tata Motors(up 0.66%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
