Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls
Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.35%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 0.62%) and Sikko Industries(up 0.09%) stood among the top gainers. Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers(down 3.63%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 3.60%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 3.36%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 3.33%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.79%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 2.09%), Aries Agro(down 1.97%), KRISHANA(down 1.88%), Rama Phosphates(down 1.78%) and G S F C(down 1.67%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 207.0 points down at 19526.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 676.53 points at 65782.78. Divis Laboratories(up 1.4%), Nestle India(up 1.28%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.7%), Asian Paints(up 0.6%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.19%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.07%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.02%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
