Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market falls
Lexus Granito(up 2.45%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.97%), KIOCL(up 1.58%), Oriental Trimex(up 0.85%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.70%) and MOIL(up 0.37%) were among the top gainers. Coal India(down 0.83%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.53%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.44%), Pokarna(down 0.12%) and Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 0.09%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 25.8 points down at 19500.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 95.41 points at 65687.37 at around 09:59AM. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.81%), NTPC(up 1.62%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.45%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.27%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.95%), Eicher Motors(up 0.61%), Cipla(up 0.49%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.47%), ITC(up 0.41%) and Adani Enterprises(up 0.39%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
