The Nifty futures closed positive with gains of 0.44%, reaching 23,249 levels on Thursday. India VIX fell more than 6% to close at 17.39 in the previous trading session.
On the options front, the maximum Call OI is at 25,000, followed by 24,000 strikes, while the maximum Put OI is at 23,000, followed by 22,500 strikes.
Call writing is observed at 23,300 and then at 23,200 strikes, while Put writing is seen at 23,200 and then at 23,000 strikes.
“Options data suggests a broader trading range between 22,900 to 23,700 zones, with an immediate range between 23,000 to 23,500 levels,” said Chandan Taparia, Analyst-Derivatives at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited.
