PM Modi described the upcoming budget as the first full-fledged budget of his third term, emphasizing its role in shaping India's future. He expressed confidence that by 2047, when India marks 100 years of Independence, the country will achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation. «This budget will give new energy and hope to the nation,» he added.
The Budget Session of the parliament is starting today with the Presidential address and the tabling of Economic Survey. The Budget is expected to focus on economic growth and welfare policies for the country.
