Surat is one among other regions including Vadodra, Ahmadabad, Anand and otheer parts of Saurashtra and Kutch regions are at risk of witnessing moderate to high flash flood during next few hours, the Met department had said on Tuesday.

A deep depression currently situated over the Saurashtra and Kachchh region has moved westward over the past six hours, according to the latest reports from the meteorological department. The system is now positioned at a latitude of 23.7°N and a longitude of 70.6°E, approximately 10 km north-northwest of Rapar and 70 km north-northeast of New Kandla.
The depression is expected to continue its slow west-southwestward trajectory across the Saurashtra and Kachchh regions. It is projected to reach the coast and adjacent areas of Pakistan and the northeast Arabian Sea by the morning of August 29, as per the IMD.
