Sushant Sreeram has quit as Prime Video India country director and is set to join Viacom18-owned JioCinema as chief marketing officer (CMO), sources privy to the development told ET.

Sreeram was promoted to the position of country director in February 2023 following Gaurav Gandhi's elevation as Vice President of Asia Pacific at Prime Video effective April.
Sreeram joined Prime Video in 2018 as Head of Customer and Brand Marketing and was subsequently promoted to Director of Marketing in October 2020. In 2022, he was elevated to Director of Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) Business.
As the SVOD business leader, he was entrusted with building the SVOD business through the acquisition, growth, and engagement of subscribers across B2B and B2C segments.
Prior to joining Amazon, Sreeram led marketing for Xiaomi in India. He also had stints at HolidayIQ.com, eBay, Inkfruit.com, and Hindustan Unilever.
Prime Video India and Viacom18 declined to comment.
Recently, Nikhil Madhok was promoted to the position of head of India originals for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios following the exit of Aparna Purohit. Madhok had joined Prime Video from Disney+ Hotstar, where he was leading the development of original content.
