Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has successfully inaugurated and operated the highest capacity Gantry Crane installed for the first time in any hydro project in India, according to the company.

The 250-MT capacity Spillway Bulkhead Gantry Crane was inaugurated and operated with precision at the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (HEP) in the presence of Joint Secretary (Hydro)- Union Ministry of Power Mohammad Afzal, Director (Projects) Biswajit Basu and Director (Technical) R K Chaudhary among others.
This achievement underscores the dedication and commitment of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited towards the successful execution of this monumental hydroelectric project, the company statement said.
The Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project comprises eight units, with a capacity of 250 MW each. Located on the Subansiri River, serving as the border between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, the project will generate power at its full capacity of 2000 MW.
