It's dedicated to children of the state

The cash-strapped Congress government in Himachal may be asking MLAs and bureaucrats to give up subsidies, but it is also paying for a holiday for 20 orphans in Goa. CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chose to modify the nomenclature from «orphans» to «children of the state» and accept responsibility for them till 27 years. The government is currently accepting the first group of 20 for an all-paid vacation. This will cover around 6,000 orphans.

Political gains From memory loss

In a recent interview, BJP MLA Suresh Dhas was asked why he sometimes names Dhananjay Munde for providing security to the criminals while other times he just calls him ‘Aaka’ master. Dhas immediately admitted that he resembled Sanjay Singhania. Dhas' remark astonished everyone when he disclosed Singhania was Aamir Khan’s character in the film Ghajini. In the film, Aamir had short-term memory loss.

Award Demand is Exploding

Demanding Bharat Ratna is the flavour of the political season this winter. Earlier union minister Giriraj Singh demanded Bharat Ratna for Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. After the demise of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress leaders demanded a Bharat Ratna for Dr Singh. Now, on the birth anniversary of Bihar BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi, some of the BJP leaders in Patna demanded aBharat Ratna for Modi as he passed away last year.
