Both executives will depart in April, the person added.
Verma, who was appointed as ShareChat’s head of people and culture in 2023, led the company’s talent acquisition, human resource strategy, talent management, and total rewards functions. With nearly three decades of experience, he previously served as vice president of people at conversational AI company Uniphore and held leadership roles in HR at Flipkart, India Telecom Infra Limited (ITIL), and Airtel.
Shekhar joined ShareChat as head of content in 2016 and was promoted to senior director of content strategy and operations in 2020. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is also the cofounder and chief executive officer of the hyperlocal news app Circle Internet.
