UK gender investment gap widens by £54bn in a year to £567bn

The study, which surveyed a sample size of 6,486 UK adults, found men invested just over £1bn in as of January 2024, up from £966bn in January 2023. Meanwhile ,women invested £450bn, down from £453bn. As of January 2024, 9.9 million UK men were investors, compared to 6.8 million UK women, the report by the research company and publishing house said. The primary factor contributing to the widening gap was the increase in first-time investors among men aged 25 to 44, compared to their female counterparts in the same age range.
