US Presidential Debate: Are Democrats looking to replace Joe Biden?
US Presidential debate between the two presidential nominees, Donald Trump and Joe Biden has ended on a negative note for the Democrats. Many of the legislators and donors have called for replacing incumbent President Joe Biden on the ballot box, ahead of the presidential election in November 2024. Joe Biden appeared to have fumbled on many occasions and was found to be nervous during the debate. The Democrats will be announcing the name of their presidential nominee during the Democratic Party National Convention in August. President Joe Biden is expected to be the nominee. The party may consider other candidates after the debacle yesterday in Atlanta.
Presidential Debate:
CNN hosted the first presidential debate in Atlanta. President Biden appeared to be uncomfortable from the beginning. A series of gaffes throughout the 90-minute debate proved to be embarrassing for the president. Among the many errors, he said that his late son had died in Iraq and that he beat medicare. One of his sons, Beau Biden died in 2015 due to brain cancer.

Donald Trump appeared to be aggressive and he took on his opponent on many occasions. Biden’s health concerns have been in the news for the past few months. Many law makers who had interacted with him had pointed towards a visible cognitive decline in Biden.
