Barack Obama was not happy with Joe Biden way back in 2008 when they joined hands as President and Vice President respectively or even much before that. They disagreed over several issues and even clashed publicly. Some ex-Obama staffers and some of his close associates have now openly targeted Biden and even urged him to step aside of the presidential election bid. The old-time associates also recall the well-known tensions between the former White House duo that go back nearly two decades.

Obama, according to The New York Times has reported that Barack Obama was not happy with Biden for his often-long-winded speeches. Once he passed a note to a Joe Biden reading, «Shoot. Me. Now.»

They came face to face during the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. Joe Biden made a famous gaffe when he called Barack Obama «the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.» Biden pulled out eventually after a dismal showing in the Iowa caucuses, and Obama picked him up as his running mate.
