Vande Bharat passenger calls food quality ‘pathetic’, compares with inaugural food; IRCTC responds

Vande Bharat Express trains since its launch has been under scanner right from stone pelting incidents to high pricing to bad food quality. Recently, a Twitter user has shared an image and compared the food quality on the day of the inauguration vs now.

The passenger travelling on 22230 Vande Bharat Express from Madgaon Junction to Mumbai said that the food quality served to him was pathetic. He also mentioned that he has been a daily Vande Bharat Traveller.

In a series of tweet, Himanshu Mukerjee who describes himself as a Rail enthusiast, Enviro Consultant, Geologist in his bio  wrote, “1.The delicious food from Ahuja Caterers you'll served free on the inaugural Run of 22230 Vande Bharat, 2.The Pathetic and Stale Food served." “Today in 22230 MAO-CSMT Vande Bharat, Pathetic is the only explainable word for it. Stone hard Paneer, Cold Food, Stale Salty Dal all dumped on to the enthusiastic passengers paying hefty 250rs for this food.

I have been a daily Vande Bharat Traveller, hence can state." Commenting on his tweet, IRCTC wrote, “Please be assured that we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality across all aspects of our service, including food preparation and delivery. Request you to share pnr and mobile no preferably in DM." On 28 June, the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat express was inaugurated along with four other express trains.

This is Goa's first and Maharashtra its fifth Vande Bharat express.
