Man made voluntary contact
As per the National Foundation for Indigenous Peoples (Funai), the man made voluntary contact on Wednesday around 7 pm local time. According to The Associated Press, local villagers said the barefooted man, wearing a loincloth, appeared calm and in good health.
He carried two wooden sticks, which he waved as he interacted with the villagers. However, the locals, who requested anonymity, said Funai had instructed them not to speak about the incident.
Speaking to the Associated Press, villagers believed the man was asking for fire. They showed him a lighter and explained how it works. However, despite their efforts, the man could not understand how to use it.
