Johnny Depp has landed a controversial role in an upcoming movie whose production is yet to begin. This has been reported by Metro. The actor has been cast in the character of ‘Satan’ in the upcoming film titled ‘The Carnival at the End of Days’ which is being directed by Terry Gilliam.

In the upcoming movie, Depp is in search of two humans who are to the presented to God (a character played by Jeff Bridges). These two humans who are being presented to God are the modern Adam and Eve. The film will also star Jeff Bridges who is Depp’s counterpart and Adam Driver. There will also be Jason Momoa whose roles have currently not been revealed.
Gilliam teased the audience saying that this film will be funny for those who like to be offended.
Depp returns to the big screen after being involved in two high-profile court cases on either side of the Atlantic with Amber Heard and the ugly fallout of their marriage. While he won one case in Atlanta, he lost the libel case against The Sun Newspaper which had branded him a ‘wife beater’.
