'Wonka' movie online streaming release date announced, here is when it will be on Amazon Prime Video
Warner Bros.'s family-friendly hit 'Wonka' may be released online and be available for streaming sooner than expected. Starring Timothee Chalamet as the young Willy Wonka, the musical arrived in theaters before the holidays. It was supported by the audience. A month after the film's theatrical debut, Warner Bros. UK has revealed the expected date on which Wonka becomes available for audiences to revisit at home.
Streaming Release Date
On its official X (formerly Twitter) account, Warner Bros. UK has announced that the film will be released online on January 22. It wrote in the post, «Bring the wonderful world of #WonkaMovie into your living room this Monday! Buy or Rent the Home Premiere on January 22.»

Wonka in theaters
Wonka was released on December 8 in the UK and on December 15 in the US. Thus, the gap between Wonka's home release and its theatrical debut was of 45 days. This is slightly shorter than Barbie's 53-day exclusivity with theaters.
While the musical was expected to steer clear of online streaming for a little while longer, its window wasn't nearly as short as some other 2023 Warner Bros. movies.
