Design & Display
The Xiaomi 15 stands out with its compact 6.3-inch display, offering a refreshing alternative to the typical larger flagships. While bigger screens are great for media, they come with added bulk – something I prefer to avoid. It's why my primary SIM is in the iPhone 16 Pro; its size is perfect for everyday use.
The Xiaomi 15’s size gives me confidence to use it as my main device again, with the added benefits of being lightweight and easy to handle. So far, I haven’t missed a larger display, as the smaller form factor is a winner for me.
Xiaomi has nailed the build quality, making the 15 feel solid despite its size. It features an aluminum frame and a sleek silicone or glass back (I have the white version, which has a smooth, smudge-free finish). The Leica triple-camera setup on the back is housed in a square module, similar to last year's 14. It’s slightly protruding but stable with a case.
With IP68 water and dust resistance, the Xiaomi 15 is well-protected. Overall, its design and size are likely to grow on you over time, making it a solid go-to device.
