Evify, an electric vehicle logistics firm, said it has raised $1.3 million in funding in a pre-series A round led by venture capital firms GVFL and Piper Serica Angel Fund. Existing investors We Founder Circle and IVY Growth, along with a few angel investors, also participated in the round. Founded in 2021 by logistics expert Devrishi Arora and cleantech specialist Pragya Mittal, the company is focused on electric vehicle-based logistics to transition India's direct to consumer FMCG and ecommerce last-mile delivery to electric vehicles. The firm will use the fresh funds to expand its operations across Gujarat and product innovation. The aim is to grow the existing fleet from 400 to 4,000 electric bikes by March 2025. Currently, it is operational in Surat and Ahmedabad.

Agrochemicals manufacturer GSP Crop Science is eyeing Rs 1,800 crore in revenue in 2024-25, following its domestic as well as overseas market expansion, a top company executive has said. “In 2022-23, our annual revenue was at Rs 1,600 crore. We are looking at Rs 1,800 crore revenue in FY25. Overall our target is to reach Rs 2,500 crore in next 3-4 years with the addition of overseas business especially in Brazil,” GSP Crop Science Managing Director Bhavesh Shah told PTI.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has said his government has set a target to contribute 10 per cent to India's GDP and become a USD 500 billion economy by 2026-27. At present, Gujarat, with five per cent the country's population, contributes 8.3 per cent to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and in the previous year, the state accounted for 33 per cent of India's total merchandise exports, Patel said in an email interview to PTI ahead of the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
