Despite global economic uncertainties, the demand for premium real estate has remained robust, reflecting the long-term confidence of wealthy buyers in this investment segment. According to CREDAI-MCHI, the first half of FY 2024-25 witnessed an 18% growth in total sales value across India’s top seven property markets, reaching ₹279,309 crore. This growth came even as the number of units sold fell by 3%, indicating a strong preference shift toward luxury homes. Average home prices jumped to ₹1.23 crore, compared to ₹1 crore in the same period last year. Cities like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru have emerged as leaders in this segment. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) retained its dominance with a stable average ticket size of ₹1.47 crore and a 2% rise in sales value to ₹114,529 crore. Other cities, including Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune, also reported significant increases in average ticket sizes, highlighting a nationwide trend.

Cyclone Fengal Tracker Live: Cyclone Fengal is expected to make landfall on the coast of Tamil Nadu today evening and the India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for various parts of the southern states in view of incessant rainfall.The IMD stated that the cyclonic storm Fengal, located over the southwest Bay of Bengal, moved north-northwestward at a speed of 7 km/h during the past six hours. As of 11:30 PM IST on November 29, it was centered over the same region near latitude 11.8°N and longitude 81.7°E, about 360 km north of Trincomalee, 230 km east-northeast of Nagapattinam, 210 km east of Puducherry, and 210 km southeast of Chennai.The cyclone is likely to continue moving west-northwestward and cross the north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram, near Puducherry, as a cyclonic storm with wind speeds of 70-80 km/h, gusting to 90 km/h, during the afternoon of November 30.As per IMD Head of Cyclonic Division, Ananda Das a red alert has been issued in view of heavy to extremely heavy rainfalls in several parts of Tamil Nadu, South Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and interior Karnataka.He further said that the coastal districts of North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh will receive heavy rainfall, adding that on November 30, there will be heavy rainfall in the interior area of Tamil Nadu.Cyclone Fengal Tracker Live: Currently, a total of 471 people from 164 families have been sheltered in six relief centers across the Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam districts.

Lall, Vice Chairman of Dixon Technologies said in a notice to the stock exchanges.

DRA has set an ambitious target to double its revenue to Rs 1,000 crore by FY26-27, driven by new project launches and geographical expansions. India Meteorological Department (IMD). The depression, as of Tuesday morning, was located 310 km southeast of Trincomalee, 710 km south-southeast of Puducherry, and 800 km south-southeast of Chennai. The IMD stated, «It is very likely to continue moving north-northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm on November 27. Thereafter, it will continue to move north-northwestwards towards the Tamil Nadu coast, skirting the Sri Lanka coast during the subsequent two days.» Regarding the movement of the deep depression in the Bay of Bengal, which is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm, the IMD stated, “It is very likely to continue moving north-northwestwards, skirting the Sri Lanka coast, and intensify into a cyclonic storm during the next 12 hours. Thereafter, it will continue moving north-northwestwards and approach the north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts as a deep depression around the morning of 30th November.”

Seven teams from the 4th Battalion of the NDRF, including two canine units (30 rescuers per team), have been mobilised in anticipation of heavy to very heavy rainfall predicted by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry from 26 to 28 November.According to the NDRF, the teams will be deployed in Karaikal, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, and Mayiladuthurai districts.The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, on Tuesday said that the depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal has now intensified into a deep depression and that it is likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm on Wednesday.Chennai city and suburbs have been experiencing widespread rains since Tuesday morning.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is likely to develop into a cyclonic storm, Cyclone Fengal, on 27 November. The depression was located approximately 770 km south-southeast of Chennai and 570 km south-southeast of Nagapattinam. «It is very likely to continue to move north-northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm on 27th November. Thereafter, it will continue to move north-northwestwards towards Tamil Nadu coast skirting Sri Lanka coast during subsequent 2 days,» the IMD stated on X (formerly Twitter). The IMD also issued a red alert for districts such as Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, and Karaikal, warning of extremely heavy rainfall exceeding 20.4 cm. An orange alert is in place for districts like Villupuram, Cuddalore, and Puducherry, with fishermen advised to avoid venturing into the sea until 28 November.
