AAP leader Sandeep Pathak on Wednesday said Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate last month, is the Delhi Chief Minister and will continue to hold the post, ruling out that he will resign. He alleged that part of the conspiracy of BJP was that they would first arrest Kejriwal and say he should resign and then try to break the AAP. NEW DELHI : The Delhi high court on Wednesday deferred hearing in a plea that sought to probe alleged fraudulent practices by Axis Bank in the sale and purchase of shares in Max Life Insurance Co Ltd. Counsels for the private sector lender and Max Life Insurance said that the case is pending with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi), which has the authority to adjudicate in these kinds of matters. The entities argued that the dispute, centering on a commercial transaction between two private parties, does not directly implicate the interests of the public shareholders, suggesting limited judicial intervention is warranted.

ED on March 21, is currently in judicial custody in Tihar jail. On March 22, the trial court remanded him to six days of ED custody, which was extended by further four days. On April 01, he was remanded to judicial custody till April 15.

NEW DELHI : Vistara has blamed poor rostering for a wave of flight cancellations at the full-service carrier, warning it may have to curtail its network for May as well to gradually stabilize operations, two people aware of the development told Mint. Chief executive officer Vinod Kannan addressed Vistara's pilots on Wednesday following a string of flight delays and cancellations that left thousands of passengers stranded. Over the last two days, more than 100 flights of the airline have been cancelled and a large number of flights have faced delays, as disgruntled pilots have called in sick en masse.

Celebrity chef Kunal Kapur was recently granted a divorce from his wife Ekta by the Delhi High Court, on the grounds of ‘cruelty’. The court also stated that Kapur’s former wife’s attitude toward him was “devoid of dignity and human empathy”. The jury also observed that his former spouse had made “wild allegations” against him with the intention of sullying his reputation. While granting the divorce, the jury, which consisted of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Neena Bansal Krishna stated, “In the light of the afore-noted facts of the present case, we find that conduct of the respondent (wife) towards appellant (Kapur) has been such that it is devoid of dignity and empathy towards him. When such is the nature of one spouse towards the other, it brings disgrace to the very essence of marriage and there exists no possible reason as to why he should be compelled to live while enduring the agony of living together..”
