NEW DELHI : The Delhi high court on Wednesday dismissed a plea that sought directives for the Centre to implement measures ensuring the confidentiality of personal data collected by international travel companies during ticket bookings. The plea raised concerns about the potential misuse of Indian citizens' data, including Aadhaar and passport details, by three foreign-owned corporations: MakeMyTrip, GoIbibo, and SkyScanner.

ED on Tuesday told the Delhi High Court that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was the «kingpin» and the «key conspirator» of the "excise scam". The federal agency opposed the AAP convener's petition challenging his arrest in the related money laundering case. In its reply filed to the petition, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said there were «reasons to believe on the basis of material in possession» that Kejriwal was «guilty of the offence of money laundering». «Sh Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of NCT of Delhi, is the kingpin and key conspirator of the Delhi Excise Scam in collusion with Ministers of Delhi Govt, AAP leaders and other persons… Sh Arvind Kejriwal was directly involved in the formulation of the Excise Policy 2021-22.

Zomato, India’s leading online food delivery platform, has said that the company has received a service tax demand and penalty order of over ₹184 crore for the period October 2014 to June 2017. Delhi Government has released the schedule for summer vacations and other holidays for government and government-aided schools in the academic year 2024-25. According to the announcement, the summer break will begin on May 11 and conclude on June 30, 2024, spanning a total of 51 days.
