People of Delhi will replace Arvind Kejriwal with BJP CM: Union Minister Harsh Malhotra
Delhi Assembly elections, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra said that the people of the national capital have decided to replace the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal with a BJP Chief Minister. Harsh Malhotra said, «The people of Delhi have decided that they will not tolerate Delhi's polluted drinking water, toxic air, lack of principals and teachers in schools, lack of doctors and medicines in government-run hospitals or mohalla clinics turning into garbage dump. They will replace Kejriwal with a BJP CM.» Reacting to allegations of AAP that BJP was removing voter names from voters list ahead of the polls, he said that only the Election Commission has a legitimate process for cutting votes.

Free cash everywhere! States' election win pitch with Maha freebies comes with big budget burden
Delhi government’s ambitious plan to provide ₹1,000 per month to women over 18 years of age under the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana (MMMSY) is projected to cost ₹4,560 crore annually, according to the finance department. With the city’s subsidy bill nearing ₹11,000 crore, officials have raised concerns that implementing the scheme from FY 2025-26 could result in a budgetary deficit. A draft proposal for the scheme, submitted by the Women and Child Development Department, estimates that approximately 38 lakh women in Delhi would qualify for financial assistance. However, the finance department has cautioned that a revenue deficit could lead to central government intervention, potentially limiting Delhi’s financial autonomy. Delhi court sends AAP MLA Naresh Balyan to one-day judicial custody
Delhi court on Thursday sent AAP's Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Balyan to one-day judicial custody in an alleged organised crime case. Special judge for lawmakers, Kaveri Baweja, sent Balyan to jail, considering that the arguments on Delhi police application seeking his 10-day custody for interrogation in the case under stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) would take more time. Special public prosecutor Akhand Pratap Singh, representing Delhi police, submitted that Balyan's interrogation was required to unearth the larger conspiracy in the case.
