Russia-Ukraine ceasefire deal: Trump warns Putin of 'doing things' that would be 'very bad'
Donald Trump has warned his Russian counterpart of «doing things» if the nation refuses for a ceasefire deal with Ukraine. He suggested that financial measures could be used to pressure Moscow but emphasised his priority was achieving peace. While responding to the question about pressuring Russia, Trump said, «I can do things financially, that would be very bad for Russia. I don't want to do that because I want to get peace.» He has said that a ceasefire in Ukraine would benefit Russia but warned of potential downsides, without providing further details. According to Reuters, Trump confirmed that US officials were set to visit Russia to discuss a proposed 30-day halt in hostilities and the possibility of peace talks. After extensive discussions in Saudi Arabia, Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire, leaving the next move to Russia. «Hopefully we can get a ceasefire from Russia,» Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, adding that he had received positive signals but remained cautious about the situation. The Kremlin, meanwhile, stated that it was awaiting details from Washington before responding to the proposal.

Araku Coffee should become next Starbucks: Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said he aspires to see Araku coffee reach the status of a global brand like Starbucks in the future. While celebrating International Women's Day here, Naidu noted that Araku Coffee, grown by tribal farmers, has already gained international recognition. «One day, our Araku Coffee should emerge as another Starbucks. It should become an international brand. To achieve this, set up 100 pilot outlets,» said Naidu, addressing a large gathering of Women's Day celebrants. He emphasised that he had found a partner to promote and establish Araku Coffee centres and called for their expansion into every village and major panchayat, encouraging women to take the lead.

Is Europe ready to break free from US security dependence?
trans-Atlantic security. As evident, the Trump administration is unlikely to commit to a security framework in Europe where it pits Washington against Moscow. In fact, Washington is demonstrably against security commitments abroad, to the extent that its age-old commitments under Nato now hang in the balance. What is certain, though, is that any road to getting Washington's security commitments is likely to involve a large economic component. As such, the semblance of an offer that the US has put on the table for Ukraine as a guarantee against Moscow is a mineral deal without any explicit security guarantees. Clearly, this approach may not be acceptable to most countries, certainly not to Ukraine. An immediate repercussion of Washington's security recoil has been the beginning of an almost pan-European consensus on the need to step up and fill potential gaps that could emerge as a result. Most European leaders appeared bound in a consensus to carve a new security assurance for Ukraine, except this time without the US. France, Germany and Britain, along with the EU as a bloc, depicted existential urgency at Sunday's leaders' European security summit in London, knowing that the block may have to take charge of not just its own security but also negotiations on part of Ukraine.

America First? Not when it comes to stock markets worldwide
US stock market has risen in 2025 and isn't far from its all-time high set last week. But it's climbed less than stock indexes in Mexico City, Paris and Hong Kong. The difference in performance has been so stark than an index of stocks from 22 of 23 developed economies around the world, excluding the United States, has trounced the S&P 500: a 7.5 per cent rise through Monday versus 1.7 per cent for Wall Street's benchmark.
