After Polymarket predicts Donald Trump victory in US elections, FBI raids CEO's house, seizes phone and electronic items
Donald Trump won the US presidential elections 2024 quite convincingly that left Kamala Harris a mile behind, but that has initiated an FBI raid at the Polymarket CEO's house for allegedly accurately predicting the results of the US elections. Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan's phone and electronics where ceased on Wednesday morning, which is the raid that comes a week after the betting platform was able to successfully predict Donald Trump's thumping victory against Democratic Party nominee Kamala Harris. Dom Perignon hosted a party at the Brant Foundation in New York City's East Village, thousands of miles from its home in the Champagne region of France. At the party, which celebrated Dom Perignon's partnership with the estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat, actresses Zoe Kravitz and Natasha Lyonne, model Evan Mock and Raul Lopez, the designer of the subversive Luar fashion label, sipped Dom as they swayed to music from the Mudd Club habitue DJ Justin Strauss. The Basquiat painting «In Italian,» a neo-expressionist work filled with gestural scribbles and stark images-faces, coins, dark creatures and cryptic words like «teeth» and «crown of thorns»-hung on one wall. Throughout the room were bottles of a limited-edition release culled from a 2015 Dom Perignon vintage with labels that mirrored Basquiat motifs, including his signature crown in yellow overlaid in a way to suggest a connection between the artist's work and Dom Perignon's own shield-shaped tag. «I think people are looking for more than just the experience of consuming,» said Jacques Giraco, MD at Dom Perignon, speaking of his company's decision to evoke the image of an artist synonymous with the gritty downtown scene in 1980s New York. «It becomes a total experience. It conjures emotion, and that creates a stronger link with the brand.»

Actress Eva Longoria moves her family from California for Spain and Mexico, calls Trump a criminal who spews hate, and labels the U.S. as dystopian
Eva Longoria, an actress, acknowledged that she and her family left the dystopian United States for a better life in Mexico and Spain, escaping the homelessness and exorbitant taxes of California, as quoted in a report by The New York Post. Longoria shared that this is where she spent her entire adult life. However, things were shifting even before the pandemic. It had a different vibe. The COVID-19 pandemic then pushed it over the edge. Whether it's the taxes or the homelessness, she doesn't want to criticise California; it just feels like this phase of her life is over. The 49-year-old Desperate Housewives star countered that Donald Trump's victory was another reason to leave, even though the homelessness and taxes occurred in California during the Democratic administration.

Can Trump save his friend Steve Bannon from the state case? Chances are thin
Steve Bannon, the prominent right-wing figure and former advisor to President Trump, faces a looming state fraud case that could have serious consequences. After his federal pardon, Bannon is now indicted in New York on state charges related to defrauding donors for a border wall project. Despite his past legal troubles, including time served in federal prison, Bannon's connection to Trump has raised questions about whether the former president could intervene. However, Trump's power is limited in state cases, leaving Bannon's future uncertain.
