In the video, Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor, is seen addressing a trial court. A bench of justices Neena Bansal Krishna and Amit Sharma issued notices to six people, including Sunita Kejriwal, and social media intermediaries X, Meta and Youtube on a petition alleging violation of video conferencing rules of the Delhi High Court. The high court also directed the social media intermediaries to take down similar content if it is brought to their notice that it has been re-posted.

Rolls-Royce car in which Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his two deputies travelled while inspecting the Mumbai coastal road earlier this week sported the registration number of a truck, official record shows. Shinde, who also holds the transport portfolio, and deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar rode in a 1930 Rolls-Royce, lent by Raymond Group chairman Gautam Singhania for the occasion, as they inspected a stretch of the coastal road on Monday before its inauguration. The car, glossy black with chrome cladding in the front, had the licence plate number MHO4 JU4733. It turns out that the person who painted the number got a letter wrong.

Infosys Q1 Results: India's second-largest software services major will hold its board meeting on July 18 to consider and approve its April-June quarter results of the current fiscal (Q1FY25). foreign exchange reserves touched a fresh high of $655.8 billion for the second consecutive time in the week ended 7th June, central bank data showed. The total reserves rose by $4.3 billion and were primarily driven by foreign currency assets which rose $3.7 billion to $576.3 billion. The last record high was just a week ago when the reserves touched $651.5 billion. The rise in the foreign exchange reserves was likely driven by the RBI’s dollar purchases after the rupee appreciated last week.

Heat wave conditions continued unabated in Haryana and Punjab, with Abohar sizzling at 47.6 degrees Celsius, the Met Centre here said on Friday. Blistering heat also continued to prevail in Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, which recorded a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius, according to the centre's weather report. While blistering heat swept Abohar in Punjab, intense heat also prevailed in Gurdaspur, which recorded a maximum of 45.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Patiala, which registered a high of 45.2 degrees Celsius, it said. Amritsar and Ludhiana also reeled under intense heat at 44.8 degrees Celsius and 44.2 degrees Celsius, respectively, the weather office said.

InterGlobe Aviation — the parent company of no-frills carrier IndiGo — on Friday said it will receive a «customised» compensation from aircraft engine maker Pratt & Whitney's affiliate firm International Aero Engine (IAE) for grounded aircraft. «On June 14, 2024, InterGlobe Aviation Ltd finalized an amendment to the existing agreement with International Aero Engines, LLC, an affiliate of Pratt & Whitney pursuant to which IAE will provide IndiGo with a customized compensation in relation to the ongoing situation of aircraft on ground due to unavailability of engines,» InterGlobe Aviation said in a regulatory filing. The company, however, did not give the amount of compensation.
