Over 11 marginalized individuals are still missing, yet authorities have not taken substantive action.» The council further demanded equal treatment, saying, «The ₹10 lakh reward should be applied equitably in all cases, ensuring justice for Zomi and other tribal communities. This disparity reflects systemic discrimination, which must be rectified. If justice continues to be denied, every democratic recourse will be pursued to uphold fundamental rights.» Meanwhile, in a coordinated effort between March 26-29, 2025, Indian Army and Assam Rifles, under Spear Corps, conducted multiple operations in Manipur. Working alongside Manipur Police, CRPF, BSF, and ITBP, they recovered 29 weapons, explosives, and ammunition from various districts, including Kangpokpi, Tengnoupal, Chandel, Senapati, Jiribam, and Bishnupur.

Vodafone Idea on Sunday announced that the government stake in the company will increase to 48.99 per cent with fresh acquisition of shares worth Rs 36,950 crore. The telecom operator's outstanding spectrum auction dues, including deferred dues repayable after expiry of the moratorium period, will be converted into equity shares to be issued to the Government of India under Section 62(4) of the Companies Act, 2013, the company said in an exchange release. The acquisition was communicated to the company through an order on March 29 and was received by the company today.

Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has revoked the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) Stage-I in Delhi-NCR after the national capital's Air Quality Index was recorded at 153 (moderate category) on Saturday. As of now, Stage I of GRAP is in force vide the order dated March 24, 2025. The CAQM mentioned that the AQI of the national capital showed significant improvement due to strong surface winds and improved meteorological conditions prevailing in Delhi-NCR. «The AQI of Delhi has been recorded as 153 for March 29 (in the 'Moderate' category). Further, the forecast by IMD/IITM also predicts AQI will mainly remain in the 'Moderate' category in coming days,» the CAQM said in a release. «The Sub-Committee, accordingly, decides to revoke its order dated March 24, 2025, invoking actions under Stage-I ('Poor' Air Quality) of the extant GRAP in the entire NCR, with immediate effect,» it said.

Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal on Saturday held a protest over vandalism at Tejaji temple on Tonk road here, police said. The protestors blocked the busy Tonk Road demanding arrest of the accused involved in the vandalism. However, as the resentment grew, the number of protestors increased. Police used mild force to disperse the mob, detained some people and opened the road for traffic movement. The matter came to light when locals found an idol of a deity damaged in the temple following which people gathered at the spot and held a demonstration. Members of VHP and Bajrang Dal along with Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) workers reached the spot and joined the protest, demanding immediate arrest of the accused involved in the vandalism. Meanwhile, Congress leaders also condemned the incident and demanded action.
