Weeks after Ranveer Allahbabia, stand-up comedian Swati Sachdeva faces backlash over vulgar joke
Ranveer Allahbadia, stand-up comedian Swati Sachdeva finds herself in trouble and received backlash from social media users for her recent YouTube episode.
The in clip, which has now gone viral, Sachdeva jokes about her mother finding her vibrator. Social media users are questioning whether there should be limits to humour, especially when it involves parents and family.
The episode was uploaded by Sachdeva on YouTube eight days ago. It shows her recounting how her mother, trying to be the «cool mother,» found the device and awkwardly initiated a conversation.
She joked, «I was sure she (her mother) was going to ask me to lend the vibrator. She started calling it (the vibrator) a gadget, a toy. I was like, 'I swear, Mom, it belongs to Papa.' She said, 'Don't speak nonsense; I know his choice.'
Sachdeva makes joes on various subjects on the he episode, named 'Family First'. She added a disclaimer in the description box, which reads, „The video contains occasional use of strong language and adult humour for comedic purposes; viewer discretion is advised.“

Several social media users raised concerns over involving parents in stand-up shows. „This is what comedy has become? Just vulgarity and cheap jokes?“ a user asked, while another added, „If Ranveer and Samay face legal action for their jokes, will Swati be next?“
