EQT Partners, the Swedish fund that owns AGS Health, has hired JP Morgan and Bank of America to manage the sale process which will be launched by early next year, ET first reported in September 2024. EQT acquired AGS Health in 2019 for $320 million. Spokespeople at EQT, Blackstone, and General Atlantic declined to comment. Hillhouse and TPG Capital did not respond to email queries.

Ladhani Group, which is the largest bottler of Coca-Cola in India and has also a play in the hospitality and chemicals segments, plans to invest around Rs 11,000 crore in the next five years across its verticals, a top company official said on Wednesday. It plans to spend around Rs 8,000 crore on SLMG Beverages, its flagship firm and the largest bottling franchisee for Coca-Cola in India, for opening new units to expand its presence in Uttar Pradesh and newly acquired markets of Bihar. SLMG Beverages is among the top 15 bottlers globally for Coca-Cola and aims to be among the top ten in the coming years. It is ready for more franchising opportunities in India and foreign countries, its Joint Managing Director Paritosh Ladhani told PTI. Emergency crews were trying to lift the bus back onto its wheels to see if any more victims were trapped underneath it, said William Nthladi, a spokesperson for the city's Ekurhuleni Emergency Management. The crash happened on a highway near Johannesburg's main O.R. Tambo International Airport. The bus was lying on its side near the edge of the highway. It had been transporting people from the township or Katlehong, east of Johannesburg, officials said. Nine men and three women died at the scene of the crash, with two bodies still trapped in the wreckage. Officials didn't immediately give the victims' ages. Nthladi said he also couldn't give details on the extent of the injuries sustained by the people who were hospitalized. The driver was among those taken to the hospital.

Thalassery hospital confirmed that she was suffering from anorexia and weighed just 24 kg at the time of her death. The teen, identified as Sree Nanda, had stopped consuming solid food for nearly six months and was undergoing treatment for her condition. As per reports, Sree Nanda was heavily influenced by online weight loss advice and was surviving on water. Dr. Nagesh Manohar Prabhu, a physician at Thalassery Co-operative Hospital, told ANI, “She was hardly 24 kgs, bedridden. Her sugar levels, sodium, and BP were low. She was put on ventilator support. But her condition did not improve, and she succumbed.”

Bibhas Nayak, a 29-year-old HR manager at St Stephen’s Hospital in New Delhi, died while defending two women from sexual assault in Karnataka’s Koppal district. The incident took place on 6 March near Sanapur village, close to the popular tourist site of Hampi. Bibhas was overpowered by three attackers and thrown into a canal. His body was recovered on Saturday, and Karnataka police have since arrested the suspects. His grieving family has called for a thorough and fair investigation.
