While many identified projects are yet to achieve global success, some areas already demonstrate significant international accomplishments where India is yet to commence preparations,» said Prof Karthick Athmanathan, a member of the Consultative Group of e-Mobility Advisory Committee. The roadmap has listed 34 projects for research and development across four broad areas — energy storage cells, EV aggregates, materials and recycling, charging and refueling.

Several erstwhile Citi customers took to social media to complaint that they were unable to access their accounts on the Axis platform while a few others said they were unable to login to the Axis app despite spending hours to complete the registration. “Extremely poor support for Citi card holders migrated to Axis bank, not able to login to Axis bank by the ID provided, neither Citibank website login available,” one user Sandeep Sansanwal complained on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter). Another user named Ayan Samdar posted on X, “thanking for ruining the Citibank experience. Posting this 47 mins into hold for customer care. Internet banking doesn’t work. Wrong details migrated. Delhi High Court has allowed a 31-year-old woman to undergo medical termination of her pregnancy of over 32 weeks due to the foetus's abnormalities, which posed a substantial risk of physical and mental handicap. Justice Sanjeev Narula, allowing the woman's plea seeking permission to undergo an abortion, said the continuation of the pregnancy poses a significant risk to the petitioner's physical and mental health and is likely to result in the birth of a child with severe health issues. The judge, following a report given by the doctors of AIIMS, concluded that permitting the termination of the pregnancy was in the best interest of both the petitioner and the foetus. «In the opinion of the court, the diagnosis in the present case clearly qualifies as substantial foetal abnormality with substantial risk of physical and mental handicap,» the court said in its order passed on July 13.

health insurance companies in India, at least 33 have joined the National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX), a centralized platform developed by the government for the exchange of insurance claims-related information, ToI reported on July 15. This new system aims to expedite the insurance claims process and make it more transparent, with real-time access to claims settlement status by the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Citizens will also be able to monitor their insurance claim status through their mobile devices, the report (by Durgesh Nandan Jha) said. Currently, insurance claims are processed through multiple platforms, leading to delays. The implementation of NHCX will streamline this process. According to government sources, some companies have already started trialing the NHCX for claims processing, with an official launch expected soon. A senior official of the National Health Authority (NHA), which developed the centralized platform, elucidated, «Citizens will also be able to see the status of their insurance claim through the mobile.»
