The Associated Press.  The chopper was returning to the capital Kathmandu on Tuesday morning after bringing the five tourists on a sightseeing trip to the world's highest park.  A search effort was underway involving another helicopter in the skies and police along with soldiers on the ground. Much of the mountainous area is only accessible on foot with no roads, AP reported.  Sagar Kadel, an Airport official said that weather conditions had caused changes to be made to the helicopter's planned flight route.

New Delhi: A Delhi High Court division bench on Monday heard the appeal filed by the resolution professional (RP) of Go First, challenging an interim order issued by a single bench on 5 July, allowing the lessors to inspect the airline’s fleet, as it would be disastrous for Go First in its efforts to resume operations. Neeraj Kishan Kaul, counsel appearing for the RP, said the order disregarded a proposed resolution approved by Committee of Creditors, and submitted to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Yamuna inched closer to the warning mark in Delhi as Haryana released more water into the river from the Hathnikund barrage amid persistent rains in the upper catchment areas. According to a flood bulletin, the water level at the Old Railway Bridge increased from 203.18 metres at 1 pm on Sunday to 203.58 metres at 10 am on Monday. The warning level is 204.5 metres. The water level is anticipated to rise to 205.5 metres between 10 am and 12 noon on Tuesday, crossing the danger mark of 205.33 metres. The irrigation and flood control department said the flow rate at the Hathnikund barrage gradually increased from 1,05,453 cusecs at 4 pm on Sunday to 2,54,806 cusecs at 10 am on Monday. Normally, the flow rate at the barrage is 352 cusecs, but heavy rainfall in the catchment areas increases the discharge. The water from the barrage takes around two to three days to reach Delhi. The Delhi government issued a flood warning on Sunday and started shifting people living close to the river banks to safer areas.

Axis Bank, has taken on lease two floors in Macrotech Developers’ commercial tower in Mumbai’s Lower Parel to set up its head office, people aware of the development said. The company’s headquarters — currently in Wadia International Center on Worli’s Budhkar Marg — is expected to be shifted to this place soon, in line with its expansion and consolidation plan. “Axis AMC is likely to consolidate some of its existing Mumbai offices that support a few key functions in this newly leased space,” one of the persons cited earlier said, adding that the company has leased more than 63,000 sq ft of office space in ‘One Lodha Place’ for more than nine years. The company will be paying a monthly rent of Rs 1.2 crore for the office space spread over the 22nd and 23rd floors of the 39-storey tower, the sources said, adding that the space has already been handed over to the new tenant for fit-out work. Queries sent to Axis AMC and Lodha remained unanswered till as of press time. Transaction advisor JLL India declined to comment.

Go First have raised concern over the order of the Delhi High Court which restricts the airline from removing any parts from the aircraft it intends to operate. The lessors own the aircraft but are now stuck as a bankruptcy court has put a ban on recovering the aircraft due to ongoing insolvency process. The committee of creditors had earlier approved funding of Rs 425 crore, but are apprehensive that such a requirement will be a hindrance to do business.

Arvind Kejriwal informed the Delhi schools to remain closed on Monday 10, citing heavy rains, Gautam Buddha Nagar's District Information Officer announced that schools in Noida will remain closed too. Informing about the latest update, Gautam Buddha Nagar's DIO Rakesh Chauhan said, as quoted by news agency ANI, “In view of the heavy rains, schools in Noida will remain closed." The northern region of India is witnessing heavy to very heavy rainfall since Saturday and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the regions, saying more rains would continue on Monday.

An interaction between a Western Disturbance and monsoonal winds is leading to an intense rainfall spell over northwest India, including Delhi, which experienced the season's first "very heavy" rainfall on Saturday. "In view of the torrential rains in the last two days and keeping in mind the warnings of the meteorological department, all schools will remain closed on Monday," Kejriwal said in a tweet in Hindi.
