Two-hour job interview but no offer: One simple mistake cost the candidate everything
The applicant, accustomed to virtual interviews where notes and prepared questions are easily accessible, struggled in the face-to-face setting. They admitted to being too nervous to think of questions on the spot and were unsure if bringing notes was appropriate. Additionally, a health condition made the experience even more challenging. Reflecting on the rejection, the job seeker acknowledged that failing to ask questions may have signaled disengagement, even if unintentional. The post was shared on Reddit, which drew a lot of comments.

You can get a shot for speedy weight loss at Rs 14k a month
Eli Lilly on Thursday introduced its globally popular anti-diabetes and obesity drug Mounjaro (tirzepatide) in India, kicking off a raft of planned launches in this therapeutic area over the next few months. At the starting dose of 2.5 mg, the drug will cost Rs 14,000 a month, a company official said. The 2.5 mg vial and 5 mg vial will be available at Rs 3,500 and Rs 4,375, respectively. A spokesperson said as Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-based product, the treatment plan is determined by a healthcare professional and varies for each individual. Eli Lilly will sell only Mounjaro for both obesity and diabetes in India unlike Zepbound, which is the prescribed obesity drug in the US. The key ingredient tirzepatide is the same for both brands. «The dual burden of obesity and type 2 diabetes is rapidly emerging as a major public health challenge in India,» Winselow Tucker, president and general manager, Lilly India, said in a statement. «Lilly is committed to collaborating with the government and industry to promote awareness and improve the prevention and management of these diseases.»

The Union minister was also asked whether the government plans to collaborate with international organisations or other nations to strengthen India's efforts in recovering stolen antiquities. «India collaborates with different international organisations, including UNESCO and INTERPOL, as per requirement. US delays $2.6 billion climate finance package to South Africa, Bloomberg news reports
Earlier this month, U.S. representatives prevented the World Bank-linked Climate Investment Funds (CIF) from approving a $500 million disbursement to South Africa, the report added. The funding was expected to unlock an additional $2.1 billion from multilateral development banks and other financial sources and a fresh attempt to approve the disbursement may be made at CIF meetings in June, the report said. CIF is one of the world's largest multilateral funds aimed at scaling climate solutions in developing countries. If confirmed, the move would be among several actions by former President Donald Trump's administration to scale back participation in multilateral climate initiatives.

A look at Israel's multilayered air defense as military says it shot down missile from Yemen
No injuries were reported. The Houthis said they fired a ballistic missile at Israel's international airport, the second such attack since the United States began a new campaign of airstrikes against the rebels earlier this week. Over the decades, Israel has developed a sophisticated system capable of detecting incoming fire and deploying only if the projectile is headed toward a population center or sensitive military or civilian infrastructure. Israeli leaders say the system isn't 100% guaranteed, but credit it with preventing serious damage and countless casualties. Here's a closer look at Israel's multilayered air-defense system: The Arrow: This system developed with the U.S. is designed to intercept long-range missiles. The Arrow, which operates outside the atmosphere, has been used to intercept long-range missiles launched by the Houthis as well as those launched by Iran during two direct exchanges of fire last year.

Kanye West reportedly holds the ultimate card that could bring down the Kardashians, and Kim just made it worse
Kim, furious about the association, may reconsider custody arrangements. However, she reportedly fears Kanye's ability to reveal Kardashian family secrets, escalating the conflict. Kim Kardashian made a polite statement just as his declining mental health was ending their marriage. Having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, she urged fans to have «compassion and empathy» for Kanye West, calling him «a brilliant but complicated person,» as quoted in a report by the Daily Mail. Kanye's actions, such as his tirades about being a Nazi on X and his public displays of his second wife, Bianca Censori, at the Grammys, must have tried Kim's patience numerous times in the years since, but she has largely remained silent to protect their kids. The rapper has now crossed a line, though.

New GST rule from April 1, 2025: ISD mandatory for input tax credit; not following will lead to ITC denial, minimum penalty of Rs 10,000
GST registrations have faced confusion regarding the process for distributing common input tax credits (ITC) availed on services to lower net GST liability. While some entities have opted for the input service distributor (ISD) mechanism to allocate common ITC to their other GST registrations (under the same PAN), others have chosen the cross-charge method. In July 2023, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) clarified that the ISD mechanism is not mandatory for distributing common ITC availed from third parties to other GST registrations. As a result, businesses had the flexibility to choose between the ISD mechanism and the cross-charge method. However, this arrangement will change starting April 1, 2025.
