Vijay Mallya on Wednesday said that banks have recovered Rs 14,131.60 crore from him «against the judgement debt of Rs 6203 crore» but he continues to be «an economic offender». He said in a post on X that unless the Enforcement Directorate and banks can legally justify how they have taken more than two times the debt, he is entitled to relief. «The Debt Recovery Tribunal adjudged the KFA (Kingfisher Airlines) debt at Rs 6203 crores including Rs 1200 crores of interest. The FM announced in Parliament that through the ED, Banks have recovered Rs 14,131.60 crores from me against the judgement debt of Rs 6203 crores and I am still an economic offender. Unless the ED and Banks can legally justify how they have taken more than two times the debt, I am entitled to relief which I will pursue,» Mallya said.

Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed protests from the Congress and some other opposition parties over Shah's alleged insult of Ambedkar, resulting in both the Houses being adjourned.

Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day on Wednesday amid noisy protests by Opposition members seeking an apology from Home Minister Amit Shah for his remarks which they claimed were an insult to B R Ambedkar. In the footage, a man is standing on the road, unaware of the approaching elephant from behind. The massive animal slowly closes in, but when the man doesn’t move, it takes a different approach. The elephant uses its feet to stir up dust. When the man turns around, he is startled to find the enormous elephant right behind him. Shocked, he quickly runs to the side of the road for safety. Though clearly frightened by the close encounter, the man is not attacked. Instead, the elephant patiently waits for him to move out of the way. Afterward, it continues on its path casually, as if nothing occurred.

Rouse Avenue court on Monday issued a notice to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Bansuri Swaraj in a defamation complaint filed by former Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendra Jain. Jain has filed a criminal defamation complaint against BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj. He has also filed a civil defamation case against her.
