G20 Summit here were treated to a special lunch at Jaipur House on Saturday, following which they were given a guided tour of an exhibition of culturally-rich artefacts at NGMA, official sources said. The group was served millet-based dishes and they also sampled some street food, a source said. «First ladies from Turkiye, Japan, the UK, Australia and Mauritius, among others visited the exhibition at NGMA (National Gallery of Modern Art),» the source added. The source told PTI, «After lunch at Jaipur House, spouses of some world leaders enjoyed an exhibition hosted at the NGMA that opened today. The exhibition has been showcased especially for them.» The 'Roots and Routes' exhibition explores India's civilisational heritage, ethos and inter-connectedness. The NGMA, under the Union Ministry of Culture, boasts a rich collection of artwork, including paintings, sculptures and photographs. S Radhakrishnan, the then-vice-president, inaugurated the gallery at Jaipur House in 1954, according to the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav website.

Jimmy Fallon has found himself in the midst of a social media storm as allegations of a toxic work environment behind the scenes of his shows have surfaced recently. Olaf Scholz arrived at the G20 summit in the national capital wearing an eye patch. The latest look of the German chancellor was due to an injury that he had sustained while jogging last week in Potsdam. This morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi warmly welcomed Scholz at the Bharat Mandapam venue ahead of the G20 Summit and also inquired about the reason behind the German Chancellor's eyepatch. Scholz had a few days ago posted a picture of himself on X which showed the patch along with and captioned it, «Am excited to see the memes.» «Thanks for the well wishes, it looks worse than it is! The 65-year-old German leader said in the post. The two-day G20 Leaders Summit is being hosted by India at the newly inaugurated Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan, the national capital. This marks the first time that India is presiding over the G20 Summit, an organization formed in 1999 with the objective of ensuring global financial stability by including middle-income countries. India assumed the G20 presidency on December 1 last year and about 200 meetings related to G20 were organized in 60 cities across the country.

Apple iPhone shipments grew 68 per cent (year-on-year) in the first half of this year in the country.

Uttar Pradesh government is all set to hold the UP international trade show from September 21 to 25 in Noida. According to a Times of India report, around 20 manufacturers of electric vehicles (EV) will participate in the show. As per a report in the Times of India, EV manufacturers like Kia, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Maruti, Toyota, BMW, SKODA, and Force Motor will showcase their products, to promote the use of electric vehicles in the city. The state transport department has also been told to arrange for an EV zone.

Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed grief at the loss of lives in an earthquake in Morocco and said India is ready to offer all possible assistance to it in this difficult time. A powerful earthquake that struck Morocco late Friday killed more than 600 people. Modi began his opening remarks at the G20 summit by offering condolences to those affected by the tragedy.
