Delhi Metro will now carry cargo in its trains during non-peak hours as part of a collaboration between Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and express logistics provider Blue Dart. The agreement aims to facilitate the transport of packages across Delhi-NCR, utilizing available train capacity to improve urban logistics, a TOI report stated.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced on Sunday. Initially planned for an April 17 launch, the airport's inauguration has been rescheduled. The greenfield airport, the second major aviation facility in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, is being developed by Navi Mumbai International Airport Ltd (NMIAL). The project is a 74:26 joint venture between Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) and City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO).

“Metro train services to start at 2:30 PM on Holi. On the day of the Holi festival, i.e. 14th March 2025 (Friday), Metro services will NOT be available till 2:30 PM on all Lines of the Delhi Metro including Airport Express Line,” DMRC posted on X. Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director of Corporate Communication at DMRC, reiterated the statement: “Metro train services will thus start at 2:30 PM from terminal stations on all Lines on 14th March and will continue normally thereafter.”

Delhi Police are ramping up security ahead of Holi, which coincides with Ramzan’s Friday prayers this year. More than 25,000 police personnel, along with paramilitary forces, will be deployed across the city to prevent any disturbances and maintain law and order.
